IN THE EVENT OF SCHOOL CLOSURE
If our school cannot guarantee a safe and warm environment and has to close to some or all year groups, we tell radio stations first thing in the morning. It offers the quickest and most effective way to communicate with the largest number of people. We advise parents and carers to listen to local radio stations for the most up-to-date information whenever snow or ice is affecting local roads. This is more reliable than calling us directly, as we may find it difficult to respond to large numbers of calls from parents, even if we are open. Alternatively, check this website which is updated daily during adverse weather.

Welcome to the Prudhoe West First School web site. The purpose of our site is to tell you about our school and we hope that it answers most of your questions.

INTERNET SAFETY

Click CEOPAs you may have seen in the press, Facebook and the CEOP Centre have joined forces to make young people safer online by launching the new 'Click CEOP' application. Click the link to find out more.

In extreme weather conditions, during periods of heavy snowfall it would be very helpful if you could tune your radios in the early morning to Radio Newcastle (F.M. 95.4 or 103.7 or 104.4) (A.M. 1458) to listen for school closures. The school closure will also be listed on Northumberland County Council website. Click HERE

Ink Cartridge Recycling
All ink cartridges (apart from Epson) can be recycled by the school. We would be grateful for any you can collect. Please send to Mrs Smith
